Two standard models explain the labeling method. The automatic flat top-surface labeler conveys products one by one to the labeling position for top labeling of books, folders, boxes and cartons, and comes in basic and standard versions. The automatic high-precision labeler applies labels by suction (vacuum and air-blow working together) on the top, bottom or both faces; its brochure photo shows a dual-head configuration, and its speed depends partly on the number of heads. The three-head custom build carries three heads over the belt.
As a custom machine it has no published specs; label positions, label sizes and cycle time are designed around the actual product. For reference only, the standard flat top-surface labeler runs at 40–120 pcs/min with ±1 mm accuracy, and the high-precision labeler at 25–35 pcs/min with ±0.5 mm. When requesting a quote, send product samples with the three label positions marked, each label's size and roll specs, the target output and the line length available.

When one product's top face needs several labels, or labels at several points, the three heads can apply them in sequence on one conveyor instead of repeated passes. How the heads share the work is set in the project design.

For reference, the standard automatic flat top-surface labeler runs at 40–120 pcs/min and ±1 mm, and the automatic high-precision labeler at 25–35 pcs/min (speed also depends on the number of heads) and ±0.5 mm. Each head has its own label reel, so the heads can carry different labels or the same label for different positions, depending on the product and label plan.

The standard flat top-surface labeler accepts an optional coder or inkjet printer for dates, batch numbers and barcodes on the label, or an inkjet printer on the conveyor that prints directly on the product before or after labeling. Whether the three-head machine gets one is decided per project.
