This custom machine targets parts that are uneven and will not sit steadily, yet need tape on a flat face. The operator places each part in a fixture, and the machine applies four tape strips at the same time, using double-sided, 3M, clear or high-temperature tape.
Two tape heads work in turn. When the first head has finished, the taped part is unloaded magnetically; once the other head has applied its tape, the magnetic pick-up travels on a motion module and unloads again. Unloading is handled by the machine, leaving the operator to load parts.
As a custom build, it is designed around the customer's product; the unit in the brochure has a fully enclosed frame. On taping performance it matches the standard floor-standing models — ±1 mm at 500 mm/s — and it takes tape 3–50 mm wide (liner width) wound on 76 mm cores, reel OD 250 mm. Overall size is approx. 2000 × 1600 × 1500 mm, with a weight of 260 kg and a 220 V / 50 Hz supply.
